The GOP just staged its own power grab and took power from the Ron Paul/Tea Party base

Complete with vote rigging (proof at 2:00 of this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=77W5OKStO5s )

This year's election doesn't matter. Things will never change with pResident Romney and the Republican Party.

But it boils down to Romney or the Fast and Furious president. And no telling what O's got up his sleeve for us bitter clingers.

That is why we MUST give them to Police!

the reality is, we ain't gonna get Tom Selleck for pres, Ted Nugent for VP. Gordon Liddy head of the DOJ.for ,Allen West for Secy of State and Chuck Norris for Secy of Defense. We get Romney or we kiss it all goodbye and start packing for the gulags.

I for one will not take my chances with Romney. I'm voting Gary Johnson, Libertarian, and encourage all III percenters to do the same. Voting for the greater evil or the lesser evil is still leading us down the highway to hell. And I like the song but not the destination.

Hmmmm - got it wrong, Mitt!

Rommny is just Ohemaroid in majic underoos, Your vote is meaningless. You are not being given a choice. Rommny will win, even if not one person gos to the polls. He has been "chosen" by our masters. No matter who is annointed god king next january, NOT ONE THING will change. We are slaves untill we take back our liberty,EVERYTHING ELSE is BULLSHIT.

Romney must feel that assault rifles are part bloodhound, if they can "hunt down and kill people". I put mine on the ground and the damn thing never moved. Maybe it's because I'm feeding it Federal instead of Purina. Yep, Romney never lies, so that must be it.

The behind-the scenes behavior of the Republicans at the convention, in ostracizing Ron Paul, was very telling in what to expect under a Romney administration. Just as big, just as well funded, just as well equipped and just as devious as the current administration. For shit sakes, oil your rifles and forget the pipe dreams of Romney being a savior.

Man, you guys are so deluded. IT'S A SYSTEM. Romney's going to do the same things Obama is doing. He's not an alternative; he's another choice on the same menu. At best, he'll screw up the country slower than Obama. At worst, he'll have his own unique spin on ruining the republic. I'm writing in Ron Paul.

Like all politicians he says what those listening at the moment want to hear. He just talks. We deal with that Commie talk later. Right now have to exercise with wisdom and prayer our right to vote a filthy Communist from our White House and hopefully off American soil forever.

It grieves me to know that I have to vote for this asshole Romney. I know how dirty the GOP has played with America. But yard signs all over the place indicate that people plan on voting for this fool with a face like a game show host. Even in predominantly Liberal states that I travel the message is out for the fraud obama to GET OUT.

I'd rather give the Republicans my finger than my vote but I've got to help these people toss the illegal alien Marxist fraud. If there is even a small chance to do this with a vote for this fool Romney, I've got to help do it. I can scrub the feeling of uncleanliness and guilt away later with a long, hot shower. Probably every day for the rest of my life.

ummm, can someone point me to the place in the Constitution where it says "a well armed militia of GAME hunters" DUH! Of course hunters don't need assault weapons. But if and when a time comes to BEAR ARMS against a tyrannical governance, which is EXACTLY what the Founders were considering when they wrote the 2nd Amendment, well I submit if they had a choice then..I do believe they'd pick an assault weapon over a single shot by a landslide.

Most politicians do know what guns are all about and they hate the idea.

Hmmm.

So if we stay home in an attempt to withdraw our consent, we effectively vote for Obama.

And if we vote for a third party, because neither Obama nor Romney has the decency or courage to tell the truth about our predicament, we effectively vote for Obama.

If we vote for Romney, because he's not Obama, we might as well have voted for Obama, because while he doesn't hate the rest of us, he's sure not helping, either.

You know, it's almost like it's a rigged game.

Isn't that strange?

Regardless of the perils & belief's of Mitt's firearms policy's, Mitt is clearly the lesser of two evils.
If the majority of people can figure this out & codify/galvanize then perhaps they can form a viable 3rd party to get this country back on track.
Otherwise the slackers/entitlement Zombie's become our problem for all of us hard working people to cope w/. Ron Paul's timing & the masses awakening are/were on different azimuth's unfortunately.
Currently the Banking/Corporate Cabal people with clear NPD (Narcissitic Personality Disorder) has/have infiltrated, infected Politicians on both sides of polarity, the brain donors in Federal jobs for greed, power & the easier road of corruption & collusion.
Either way it will be some time before we can see the kind of America we all have LOVED so much, known & had for so many wonderful years.
Hope & faith, our greatest weakness. Our greatest strength...

Romney would mean the same, or worse, for gun owners as Obama does.

Romney is a elite member of the Gun Confiscation Lobby.

Remember, above all he is a politician.
He says what he thinks the voters want to hear.
MA has a long anti-gun history, so you say you are anti-gun.

The 50 states are a different market.

With an official plank protecting access to ammunition.
And with a pretty strong NRA presence.
And then giving a 5 time Olympic skeet champion a big part in the Convention I have hopes.

So according to the article he didn't actually institute a ban on 'assault weapons' he just continued the ban. It still makes him the only candidate in the race to actually have signed a bill continuing a ban on a class of weapons. Something even the current president hasn't done (Not that he wouldn't given a chance).
All I can say is vote your conscience. I've voted the R ever since Prez Reagan. Not sure I'm doing it this time. It's just a matter of heading toward the cliff with the foot on the gas pedal, or coasting.

Agree with Anon - we know who this guy is, and we know who the current guy is also. No apologies for MR, but he has bigger fish to fry than firearms in the hands of civilians.

FYI, I spoke last week with a very good friend who used to live in NH - right next to the Massholes. The FACT about the MA AWB is that the MA firearms owners association (or whatever its actual name is) ASKED for this bill, because they wanted positive clarification on some elements of who was "permitted" to own a firearm. They "knew" that they couldn't get what they wanted from the MA legislature, so without even trying to get their change for free, they offered up the semi-autos in a sacrifice. Romney, not being a gun guy and probably not giving much of a damn, followed that recommendation and signed the bill. The statement at the signing was nothing less than shameful, and he SHOULD have given a damn (the 2nd Amendment being in the Constitution and all), but the central lesson here is that the MA gunnies slit their own throats. Again, I don't absolve Romney, but he just did what his state's gunnies wanted. I do NOT see that happening on a national level - quite the contrary.

Anyhow, we KNOW that Obama will try to grab what we have now - so someone that doesn't really care much about guns is much less worse.

OK, my flame suit is on, I'm ready for whatever you guys have.

You are either for freedom, or you're not. Yes, it really is that simple.

I won't be voting for Black Obama or White Obama. After the nonsense at the convention, I will never cast another ballot for a Republican so long as I live. Ever.

The Republican party needs to be destroyed, and replaced with a real conservative party. That is my focus.

The second the Boehner decided to magically develop a hearing problem was the end of my 40+ year relationship with the RNC.

Let the Kenyan win if necessary - it will be easier to deal with our out of control federal government in the time honored tradition of our forefathers as a united front.

It will be much harder when Willard Fillmoure Romneycare stabs us in the back.

Exactly the point of the 2nd Amendment.

Meet the new boss. Same as the old boss. Well, not quite, but close enough. At least he seems a bit more stable, psychologically. Might understand what Unintended Consequences means, too.

Get tired of the "not voting/voting for an independent will be the same as voting for Obama" bullshit.

I'm going to do whatever I feel like doing, else I am not free.

My state is going to be for Romney anyway. Why throw away my dignity just to add one to the count towards a Republican that's just as anti-American as Obama?

Christian Patriot III said...

He's absolutely right, and if he is elected and has half the brain I hope he does, it won't become necessary for patriots to deploy them in such a manner. Shotguns are clearly the better defensive weapon but it's not too long after taking that down off the wall that we inevitably need to start selecting something with a little more range and rapidity. Sad, but a tactical fact that can be avoided if proper strategies (eg freedom preserving rather than freedom infringing) are employed.

Assault rifles are for hunting people down and killing them. So remember that when you come to take mine, that I will have one of my own.I will not live under a government with a monopoly on the ability to hunt people down (me) and kill them (me).

Hope you get to feeling better Mike...

Regarding Mitt Romney -- I was/am a campaign worker for Ron Paul and the liberty movement -- I will enthusiastically support Romney's candidacy at this point. For my friends who have hesitation on that score, I’d just ask you to keep these things in mind:

1. Justice Scalia just turned 78
2. Justice Kennedy will turn 78 later this year
3. Justice Breyer will be 76 in August
4. Justice Ginsburg turned 81 about a week ago. In addition, Justice Ginsburg is reportedly quite ill.
5. Justice Stephens has already said he would retire and is just waiting for Obama to be reelected.

The next president could appoint as many as 5 new Justices over the next four years. This election is about much more than the ObamaCare Tax.

Whomever we elect as president in November is almost certainly going to choose hundreds of other life-tenured federal judges, all of whom will be making momentous decisions about our lives for decades to come.

If you don’t think it matters whether the guy making those calls is Mitt Romney or Barack Obama, THINK AGAIN.

So, for anybody who is thinking of not voting because your favorite Republican or independent didn’t get nominated, or writing in a candidate who can’t win, imagine this:

SUPREME COURT JUSTICE ERIC HOLDER.

After you have stopped gasping, kindly send this to your list of concerned citizens.

Although electing Romney is not a cure-all for the tyranny rapidly evolving in this country, it will slow it down and provide us with more time for continual education of Boobus Americanus.

I don't understand some people. They seem to fail basic math.

In November lets say when it is time for me to go vote the vote stands at:

Obama 100
Romney 100
Ron Paul 25

Then I cast my vote. If I cast my vote for Ron Paul then the vote stands

Obama 100
Romney 100
Ron Paul 26

Gee! It doesn't look like I voted for Obama after all does it?

David Forward said...

@Nova shooter:

The flaw in your logic lies in the fact that you enabled Obama to remain in a virtual tie. If you had voted for Romney rather than (my hero, also) Paul, you in essence voted to allow Obama to not lose.

The only way your logic prevails is if Obama is already losing and your vote for Paul won't have a bearing on the race between the Obamanation and Romney; otherwise, voting for a third party candidate deprives one candidate of a potential win.
