Police Block Radio Communications as 'Ferguson October' Protests Kick Off And who is "Ferguson October"?

Well, they proclaim, "WE ARE IN A MOVEMENT MOMENT." And here's a list of endorsing organizations for "Ferguson October."

Anonymous said...: SEIU on the list; now there's a big fu#$in' surprise. They were supposed to show up at an anti SAFE Act rally in Albany NY once, and to their chagrin United Mine Workers were there on our side. If they had ideas on disrupting the rally, the fact that they couldn't show non-solidarity between unions ended their plot. OR, it could have been the fact that we had anywhere from 10 to 20,000 people at the rally that changed their minds.; October 12, 2014 at 3:09 PM
Anonymous said...: This is why we can't have good things. If there was ZERO organization, and just a single clear peaceful ideal - then it would have been real grassroots. This has multiple levels of Astroturf written all over it.

Every single one of those groups is going to be competing for money and voice. Whoever is organizing this, is doing it in such a way as to pretty "be" Occupy. CIA does this is other countries, so I would not be surprised here.

Also - the reliance on media is wrong. Saul Alinsky does not work anymore. 100,000 people standing, with no media, is more powerful than a million slanted news stories.; October 13, 2014 at 11:11 PM
