The White House wants you to know that Obama's mad about the failures of his minions -- and he's appointed a political hack with no health care experience to do something about it.

Amid Assurances on Ebola, Obama Is Said to Seethe

But of course everything's okay because the new "White House Ebola Czar Was ‘Key Player’ In Solyndra Scandal." so it's not like he lacks for experience in cover-ups and political logrolling. I know I'M reassured.

The choice makes sense if Obama's main concern is a) the incompetence of his team, or; b) midterm politics. My strong hunch is it's "b". The Obama White House is not self-aware. It is nakedly political. The uneven response to Ebola threatens to be a toxic issue for Democrats, and the president is under pressure from his party's desperate candidates to do something.

Mitch Rapp said...: This was done for no other reason than to have a trusted liberal ideologue in control of the dissemination of information. Only info that helps democrats, and only information that tends to hurt republicans will be released. Like all other things, this administration has politicized the Ebola outbreak. He installed a manager who will manage it to the advantage of democrats.

Then there's the Rham Emanuel theorem. "You never want to let a crisis go to waste. That is to say that it allows to you to do things that you couldn't have done otherwise".
