Okay, kudos to the shop owner but nothing in the news report said up to the last 14 seconds(where my phone froze up) anything about F Troop boys confiscating his weapons. I miss something?

Ahh, last few seconds worked now. So F troop confiscates a gun NOT used in a crime. Brilliant, absolutely brilliant!

No; Ding -a ling they didn't "confiscate his property" they seized ONE handgun to be used in evidence.

OK, so I watched the whole video. It says the BATFE only took the gun that the mental patient attempted to buy. Isn't that what is called collecting evidence? I'm not inclined to be outraged about this quite yet.

Doubtless BATF now feels this hunk of metal/plastic/wood is "infected" with a raging desire to kill. Or it "transferred" its malignant evil to the innocent victim. >Jeff

Taking the gun. Collecting the gun. Confiscating the gun. What difference does it now make?! The BAT&F'ing idiots have a gun that they didn't pay for.

Hey jackholes....when someone attempts to steal a car from a dealer lot, do the police CONFISCATE the car?

F**K NO....they do not.

Ah, anon @3:15 PM, I can see APD taking the gun as evidence but what sort of case would the BATFE weenies be taking the gun for? What alleged offense would the BATFE be investigating?

Why couldn't the guy have asked to buy a Hi Point instead of a SIG?

Just guessing that this guy will end up on the prohibited persons list.

Bad Cyborg: Attempting to buy a firearm after a ruling of MDOD is a federal crime. If your guy is a repeat offender then it considered a second federal felony. By my count the perpetrator did at minimum, five federal felony's, that if "top counted" will land him in the F.C.I. for the next 25-50 years without P.O.P. THATS why they took the pistol. Somebody in the US Att. office sees this in light of the current mass killer fad and public backlash as a good case to make a career move on. Hence the BATFE involvement.
