“There is no way I would bring a family into downtown Seattle right now. The criminals have won. The gangs have won. The protesters are out of control.”

Oh, please. That's a lot of hyperbole. I live in a dying midwest rust-belt town where the heroin trade replaced manufacturing, and choose to vacation in Washington state (by way of Seattle) every year.

Now, I live in a nice part of my heroin-addled city, but still not far enough away that a house a few blocks down the road from me got sprayed from end to end with an AK by a drug gang in retaliation for a drive-by shooting at a BBQ shop across town where two innocent little kids got hit.

On my last trip to Washington, I was watching the Seattle news in a hotel room with my wife and I kept waiting to see how many instances of violence there were. The biggest story was about some business getting poached from Tacoma to Seattle proper, and maybe a building that caught on fire.

Say what you want about the politics of Seattleites, but dangerous, it ain't.

Dori Monson is NOT quitting Seattle.
This is BS, followed by more BS.

My god, he makes too much money from the city (SeaHawks, talk radio, etc.).
And like most talk radio hosts, they fling more indignation, increasing audience and making more money, under lib administrations.
They don't want change.

Funny I worked in Seattle for 25 years just 4 blocks west of the space needle . I guess 937 missed the mens naked bike rides where hundreds of men swarm through the city and bust off mirrors on peoples SUVs because they pollute . Maybe next time take a hotel 10 blocks out of the hotel district on Capital Hill . Lets just say it wont be your wife that will be raped . The news service never reports the windows being smashed or the violence on MLK way along Rainier.
The city is as far left as you can go , with a 20 foot tall statue of Lenin . Yes the same Lenin that butchered millions. I could see Dori Monsons KIRO building from my old office and he is absolutely correct the place has turned into a gay pit .
The public schools have shrunk 70% in the last 20 years. They go through police chiefs and school superintendents every two year. The mayor is gay and former mayor Norm Rice is gay . He was shot in the buttocks by his wife when she caught him mounted on a man in her bedroom .
What keeps them going is gobs of State and Federal money and Billy Gates and Paul Allen and Jeff Bezos has spent billions downtown on construction. It is a modern day Sodom and Gomorrah and if it slid into Puget Sound it would not bother me.

Hahahahaha. Are you serious, Anon? The quote is about "gangs" controlling downtown Seattle, and you're worried about some gays on bicycles? I stayed with a friend on Capitol Hill, near Aloha and 23rd. Had a scone at Victrola and some great tea at Remedy. Got some piroshkis at the Pike Place Market. I somehow made it through un-raped.

Let me know when something like this happens in your town:

Because I drove the couple blocks over after work and counted the bullet holes from one end of the house to the other.

Gays on bikes... oh, man. Precious.

I thought that was good news?
