I guess they forgot that their names are on a list of their own making. Connecticut Collectivists Still Want to Start That Civil War Thing.

File under "Be careful what you wish for, you may get it." Sandy Hook Commission: Ban guns holding more than 10 rounds, no grandfathering.

Looks like hell might be coming to breakfast. Keep the powder dry!

They'll probably ram this through the CT legislature. Now the CSP knows exactly where to go when the raids start. After all, several thousand upstanding gentlemen stood in line to register their property. No one wants to confiscate their guns, right?

All patriots in Conn: keep the names on that commission handy.

I told people to pay attention to what they were saying early on...."This (the unconstitutional laws passed right after December 2012) is just the beginning!" Do not ever think that registration, to confiscation, to total disarmament was not their ultimate goal. If they EVER try to really implement that, the body count on both sides will be astronomical!

I did not comply then, and I will not comply in the future. A couple hundred thousand like minded Patriots can't be wrong.

I'm a Newtown native...This part of the Sandy Hook Commissions "work" is going largely unreported.
As I read it, they don't just intend to assault the 2nd Amendment, but also the 10th.

Hamden Mayor Scott Jackson, the panel’s chairman, said "the group should not limit its firearm recommendations to the state of Connecticut. He said the proposal should be considered by Congress and nearby states. That there was nothing in the commission’s gun control recommendations that limit them to Connecticut."

Bait and Switch.

Bait...You can keep your CT weapons, just let us know that you've got them.

Switch...Now that we know who's got them, you can't keep them and we're coming to get them.

I am a Newtown native, and believe me when I tell you, the remainder of any Connecticut Yankee spirit was bred out of these people 40 years ago. It's gone. The large majority of CT citizens are compliant toadies with respect to just about every state dictated initiative. (Just look at the taxes we willingly pay!) You should not expect the people of CT to stand up for themselves on the gun confiscation issue. We are sheep who will need some good sheepdogs(probably Southerners and Mountain North Westerners)to eventually defend our rights for us. CT is a silly, little insolvent state that is best mocked and ignored.

I wonder if the communists up north hear of the Magpul PMAG D-60 yet?

Judging from the kicked dog mentality I've been seeing at the local gun shows lately, I'm more than a little confident that any legislature in any state can pass any restrictions that they like, and they will get very high compliance rates. Nearly everyone I talk to expresses their fear of being that "one guy they make an example of".
Land of the free, home of the brave, my ass.

Thank you for your service as an 11B20. I am anonymous Newtown native. I infer from your post that you are living in CT. I also infer from your discontinued MOS that you are a Vietnam Era vet. Hard core. You guys got shafted overseas and at homecoming. We're on the same team and I would never give the bad guys any hint that they have any chance at dividing and conquering our ranks. That said, allow me to lay a few of my thoughts out. I am a former A/D, tip of the spear guy. I'll forgo the details for Opsec. One of the first things I learned at SERE School as a young O-2 is that the "Rambos" typically get whacked first. Your post comes off very Rambo-ish. I'd hate to lose a former Infantryman from the good guy side. My post was not intended to describe my position, I'm with ya! My post was intended to describe my view of the majority in the state. Not that that sad stat deters me; like Mike V. says, it only takes 3%. But that 3% in my view needs to be smarter than your post alludes. I know you've got the passion and that alone makes you a 3%'er in CT. Just know that if the need arises, I'll be leading my merry band of CT liberty defenders in such a way that if we came across a 60+ year old guy presenting himself as you do in your post, we'd take a pass.

Well as someone in ny who it appears for so called safe violations is going away for a while.

The choices are really quite limited.
Fight or not.

Live or die a slave or felon.

Trust me it will not get better for anyone .
