By the time we thought about leaving Afghanistan, we’d been tossing gear into the country for more than a decade. This is the story of how we moved out.

These wars and their lack of resolution are by design. Everyone connected gets a cut from the banksters on down. Only the poor grunts in the field, their families, and the taxpayer feel the pain.

Well, at least the crony class made a pile of money off it, and careers among the rulers were advanced.
