West Virginians: Help Pass Constitutional Carry In Your State.

The West Virginia Citizens Defense League sends the following alert:
Charleston, WV - Thursday, March 12th, 2015 - Today Constitutional Carry (SB347) passed the House of Delegates by a vote of 71 - 29. This historic vote is an enormous leap forward for Second Amendment rights in West Virginia. The stage is set for West Virginia to become the latest state to formally adopt the motto: "the Constitution is my carry permit."
After a procedural vote by the Senate, the bill will head to the Governor Tomblin. The governor must not veto this bill. Please call Governor Tomblin's office at 304.558.2000 and urge him to sign this giant leap forward in the liberty and personal safety of not just West Virginians, but all who travel to West Virginia. Contact all your friends and associates, and ask them to do the same. It's not much in terms of effort, just dial the number and politely tell whoever answers: "Please ask the governor to sign SB347."

State legislatures and executives are looking hard at their budgets, first seeing a huge WASTE of resources dealing with "permits" and finding out that their "control" is a net loss... But secondly, they are noting the path of court cases and how they are coming out - the payouts Chicago and DC and more coming are something that can no longer be ignored.

SMART action is being taken to avoid losing literally MILLIONS and MILLIONS of dollars on a "cause" that is, well, shooting themselves in the proverbial foot.

Let's not fool ourselves into thinking they are doing this out of the kindness of their hearts or even as a matter of upholding their oaths. They are acting to avoid having to cut freebie programs they dangle like carrots out front of donkeys.

And thirdly there is s bit of defense being played on another front. With OBAMA packing the courts, those benches his ilk view as "unfriendly" are being denied the ability to force a push come to shove moment in order to protect his "friendly" benches. The defensive play there is to AVOID a direct split in circuits, forcing SCOTUS hands. That way, while constitutional carry expands SLOWLY, the controllers KEEP CONTROL in as many areas as possible AND the "other side" keeps it's campaign issue just another or a few more election cycles.
