Court Creates New Right: Freedom from Fear. Friedman v. City of Highland Park

In 6 words, the court nullifies the Second Amendment for those living in Highland Park. The court also readily accepts the fact that this law will not stop or even lessen violent crime: “A ban on assault weapons won’t eliminate gun violence in Highland Park, but it may reduce the overall dangerousness of crime that does occur.” Read that sentence carefully. This law may reduce the overall dangerousness of crime. What does that mean? They are okay with violent crime as long as it isn’t done with an AR-15. As long as it’s just street thugs burning cars and throwing rocks and bricks and using less-than-large capacity magazines, then we can live with violent crime. But, what is unacceptable is law-abiding citizens owning a firearm that has one of five randomly selected features.

They want "freedom from fear"?!? Wait'll they get a load of what it looks like when they destroy the rule of law and convince the rest of us that we can only rely on Lex Talionis."

like I've said in a previous reply to a post of lib-tard reasoning: They'll be hiding in their little apartments starving to death if the shit hit the proverbial fan. Cowardly youth comes from cowardly parents and school indoctrination. They see only 2 types of people now - victims and bullies...

Not a lib in ILL. said...

Highland Park IL. is a liberal enclave of rich people who think if they outlaw something, it will not affect them. Typical utopian wish.

They don't call it the 'Gold Coast' for no reason...
I'm sure glad judges base their cases on facts and leave feelings out of it, because if they did, just about anything could be done...oh wait...

Glad I moved to AZ, one of the last bastions of freedom.

"The fear of weapons indicates retarded emotional and sexual maturity."
Sigmund Freud

Since the whines of mentally and sexually retarded people are related to their personal subjective perception, the response is on its face unreasonable since it is the product of a abnormal mind. Legislating insanity is not a delegated authority in the Constitution.

Also since these people are voting and organizing to distribute their phobia to the citizenry at large, I think that they need to be restricted in their ability to affect the public and taken into custody for mental disability.

Ooops for got the requirement for a background check before they are able to form into groups and advocate the suppression od protected Constitutional rights.

Highland Park, IL...lovely area, elitist enclave and all the fantasy trappings...uber rich, where they filmed Uncle Buck, Ferris Beuller's Day Off, lovely homes, teens drivin mercedes, folks smoking reefer in plain view on property, also where one can walk right into Ravinia concert with a full blown machine gun, etc and no one will notice. That's fact.
