Nice to know that ATF managers are allowed to freely express personal political opinions on state firearm laws.

ATF Critical of Georgia Gun Laws After NYPD Officer Shot
“I hate stating negatives, but I think if you take Georgia as a norm, what you’re going to find is you don’t have restrictions on types of weapons, you don’t have long waiting periods, you don’t have additional carry permits requires,” said Special Agent Kevin O’Keefe, the chief of the ATF’s Violent Crime Intelligence Division. Combine those qualities with Georgia’s access to interstates, and he says you have an idea of why it’s a popular state for gun traffickers. “Why drive an extra six hours to Miami, when you could stop in Georgia if you found someone with ID to buy for you," O'Keefe said.
Of course this deliberately and conveniently IGNORES THE FACT THAT THE WEAPON USED TO KILL THE POLICEMAN WAS STOLEN IN A BURGLARY, thereby making state laws in this case moot. But O'Keefe is one of those firearm haters who is obviously working his own personal agenda using his position, a badge and a gun, not to mention feeding at the public trough while doing so.

Well, I knew it all along. It's the interstate highway's fault. Shut down the interstates!

Always hilarious when someone high up in the ATF talks about illegal gun running! They still have people refusing to testify and turn over documents about their operation that has killed who knows how many civilians and at least two American government employees.

I guess it is like when the mafia members start complaining about criminal activity - they hate the competition!

Where are all those "good guy" ATF agents about which we a
keep hearing? Where are all those stand-up good guys who support the people's right to arms. You know, those who are in the Vast Majority in ATF? Why aren't they shouting this man down and saying he doesn't speak for them?

Dead silence.

ATF Criminal Intel Division Chief Kevin O'Keefe- touting the Mom's Demand Action party line. Your tax dollars at work, chipping away at your Constitutional and God-given rights.

Don't forget, this guy was involved in Fast and Furious.

ATF by all accounts has been a collection of "ends justify the means" folks since their inception as federal still busters.

You'll all be happier if you don't expect scorpions to act like bunny rabbits.

Yet when I see a bright looking clean cut man in an ATF uniform behind a table at a local gun show I have to ask myself, how does he justify putting on that badge in the morning?

What? The guy wants to blame Georgia because it's closer to New York than Miami? And he seems perplexed Georgia's Interstate highways connect to other states. This is some sloppy spin to defame a pro-gun state.Did he write the script himself, or did someone in the Bloomberg camp send him talking points?

How ironic--intelligence is clearly what he most lacks, followed closely by morals.

Odd. You never hear them complain about Vermont, which borders the state of New York, is closer to New York City, has no licensing requirement to carry firearms and no waiting periods for purchase. Could it be the culture?
